Dear Friends,
Hello from my New York City (on my birthday!) where I’ve just returned after a whirlwind of a book tour – San Antonio, Austin, Washington DC, and New Jersey. The Light We Give has now been out for five days, and the book launch has been an incredible experience so far.
One of my greatest joys in writing this book is sharing with people a tradition and philosophy that I love deeply and that has helped me find happiness in a world that often feels difficult and challenging. I believe that Sikh wisdom has meaningful answers to some of life’s most pressing questions, and that it can help us all find calm, peace, and hope within the tumult of our lives.
We have learned that in just six days, The Light We Give has already sold thousands of copies. We’re already a bestseller in multiple categories on Amazon, friends have seen it in bookstores and airports all over the country, and my publisher thinks we have a real shot at making the national bestseller lists. This would be a dream come true. It would also help us open up doors for more diverse stories and writers, including Sikhs.
This brings me to my request:
- If you haven’t done so already, please buy a few copies of the book, for yourself or to gift to a friend or colleague.
- Please review the book on Amazon and GoodReads. This has a huge impact!
- If you are connected with a school, non-profit, or company, consider letting them know that I would love to speak to them about The Light We Give and how the insights might pertain to their work and lives. You can direct them to my speaking page with Penguin Random House or to my personal website.
I can't even describe how rewarding it's been to meet new friends like Stephanie, from Dripping Springs, Texas, who told me: “This year has been so hard on my family. It’s been hard to find reasons for hope. Your book was exactly what I needed to see that there is a better way through it.”
Thank you again for all your love and support. I’m really grateful for all of it.
Sincerely yours,
Simran

Happy belated brother. 🙏
Dear Simram,
You were in San Antonio, but I didn't know it! Arrrgh!
Is it possible to get an autographed copy of your book?
Take care, Debbie McNabb
