Well, here we are, one week post-election and with so many people feeling grief, anxiety and fear (understandably).
And while I am also quite disgusted by the alarming displays of racism, sexism and more (made so much more visible in the aftermath), I can honestly say that I have found great solace and daily inspiration, not only from my faith but also from the Sikh principles of Ik Onkar, Chardi Kala, and the aspiration to be a Sant Sipahi/Sage Warrior.
In this season of uncertainty, I am so grateful to have people who exemplify these qualities.
I too want an America with more love toward our neighbors, no matter their race, heritage, gender, or religion. I have already voted for Kamala Harris. Tomorrow I will work at the polls. I will wear a smile, my “Today I Choose Joy” shirt, and I will thank everyone who comes to vote.
I am praying that we will have a peaceful election and a peaceful transfer of power to the winner of the race.
I saw a Trump ad today where he said he would bring America to a new golden age where people of all religions, race and creed would benefit. We know that is a lie given the Muslim ban but it was interesting that he left out gender completely from his list. He’s not even trying to lie about his intent to oppress women- you know, protect us whether we want it or not. I imagine that is a common theme to give us what we don’t want given his multimillion dollar judgement for sexual assault.
I feel the opposite. Hateful people need no help doing the wrong thing.
What about our current President Biden calling Trump supporters “trash” and Kamala Harris and her hateful lies about Donald J Trump? One must look at both sides of the story. Donald Trump’s side is not properly shown in our media with a socialist liberal agenda.
President Trump is truly a great person who we need in the Whitehouse now. He TRULY cares about the people, without a racist view.
I stand for any person who is being attacked or harassed, including myself.
May President Donald J Trump be reelected without incident, and may our great country be on the ❤️🩹 .
Come on guys, don’t let the liberal rhetoric, or the hateful people tarnish your intelligent viewpoint.
